Dr. Armen Amirkhanian, PE
Dr. Armen Amirkhanian has more than a decade of experience broadly based in infrastructure materials characterization with a primary focus on cementitious and geotechnical materials. Past research and consulting activities have consisted of characterization of geotechnical materials for road base usage, development of guidance for off-specification crusher run material in construction sites, and residential site development.
Dr. Amirkhanian has been principal investigator or co-PI on projects with the Oregon, Alabama, South Carolina and Maryland Departments of Transportation. He has led a number of tech transfer events for various organizations and has written state and national technical guidance documents for various agencies. He is a professional engineer registered in Oregon, Alabama, and South Carolina.
Dr. Amirkhanian is a voting member on American Concrete Institute committees 124 and 213 and an associate member of ACI committees 236, 242 and 325. He is also a voting member of the Transportation Research Board standing committee AKP20 (Design and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements). He is currently the secretary and treasurer of the International Society of Concrete Pavements.
Eleanor Skelton, PE
Ms. Skelton has more than a decade of highly varied experience on a wide variety of projects. She has expertise in geotechnical site characterization, geology for engineering applications, geotechnical/geostructural modeling, mat foundation analysis and design, retaining wall and slope analysis, deep foundation analysis and design, identification and mitigation of karst features, and ground improvement.
